Building for Tomorrow

In the early morning hours of January 7, 2014, Foscoe Christian Church, burned to the ground. It was a bitterly cold and windy night, with subzero temperatures.

The next day, a parishioner was walking among the charred remains and came across a single page from a hymnbook lying among the ashes. The page was wet, dirty and burned around the edges. But clearly the name of the hymn was visible, along with all four verses. The hymnbook-pagehymn was Revive Us Again.

The fourth verse of Revive Us Again reads, “may each soul be rekindled with fire from above”.

Since that time, our church has been dealing with the insurance company, various governmental agencies, and other delays. Now we are ready to rebuild.

Foscoe Christian Church has been a shining light to our rural community in the mountains of northwestern North Carolina since 1924. We believe it is God’s desire for us to rebuild a church that will serve for many more years to come and to be an asset to our community. Our members are prepared to give generously, and sacrificially, but we need your help.

There is nowhere you can invest in a more worthy or lasting cause.
